Senior Spotlight on Tim Lopez

Tim Lopez

Brooklyn, New York

Baseball

Tim Lopez is a starting pitcher for the Judges. In 2020, he earned the win – the first of his career - in his only start, holding Bates to just one hit over five innings, striking out eight in an 11-5 victory. As a sophomore in 2018, he made a courageous comeback to the mound after breaking his jaw after getting hit by a line drive early in the season. He missed just a month of the season and returned to action for UAA play, pitching at least five innings in each of his four conference starts.

“Tim plays the game with joy and infectious enthusiasm every day,” said head coach Derek Carlson ’91.
