Green passport necessary for admission to Gosman

Green passport necessary for admission to Gosman

Any member of the community — student, faculty or staff — must present a green Campus Passport (or a blue Shabbat or digital alternative) for admission to Gosman. This means that, if you are at the end of your testing period, it isn’t enough to just schedule the drop-off of your test prior to accessing the facility. You must actually submit your sample prior to going to the gym.

Gosman Reopening Guidelines

During this pandemic, patrons should expect limited operating hours, capacity and time limits, activity restrictions, space closures, and limited services and amenities.  Please refer to this webpage often for updates.

Please help protect our community by practicing CDC hygiene recommendations, maintaining at least 6 feet physical distancing whenever possible - 14 feet while exercising - and following all facility policies and procedures.

Capacity Limits

Capacity limits will be posted outside each activity space.

Who is allowed to use the athletic facilities?

Only currently active students, faculty, and staff are permitted to use any athletic facilities, indoors or outdoors.  No guests allowed.  No memberships allowed.  Students on a leave of absence are not allowed.

Anyone coming to campus to use the athletic facilities must also have previously completed Brandeis' mandatory safety training for faculty and staff or for students. They must submit Brandeis' Daily Health Assessment and sign up for COVID-19 testing based on the frequency with which they will be on campus.

Face Coverings Required

Following Brandeis University guidelines, a face mask or cloth face covering will be required at all times in all athletic facilities (indoors and outdoors). Masks may be removed while swimming at Linsey Pool, however they must be be worn on the pool deck or in any other area of the facility. Bandanas, scarves, and neck gaiters are not considered acceptable forms of face coverings on campus.

What to Bring?

  • An active Brandeis ID will be required to enter the facility. ALL patrons must manually swipe an ID to enter. There is no sign-in method available. NO ID = NO ENTRY!
  • Proof (either on your phone or an email printout) that you have a GREEN campus passport signifying you are cleared to use campus facilities. NO PROOF = NO ENTRY!
