• Member of track and cross country teams from 1980-84
• Served as captain of 1983 National Championship team, earning All-America honors
• Earned New England Div. III and All-Division championships at three distances
• Set a New England Div. III Championship meet record in 1,000-meter run that still stood at time of induction
• Competed at 1988 U.S. Olympic trials
