WALTHAM, Mass. -- Brandeis's Red Auerbach Arena will play host to more than just exciting University Athletic Association basketball action this weekend, as two of the Judges' most popular promotions are also on the slate.
On Friday evening, when the 19th-ranked Brandeis women take on rival and No. 24 Washington University at 6 p.m. and the men host the second-ranked and defending NCAA Division III champion Bears, the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will be sponsoring their Third Annual Brandeis Beach Bash. All students and fans who come the game dressed in their best beach gear or their Jury t-shirts will be eligible for prizes, contests and free food. So come for the exciting hardwood action and support the Judges in your summer best!
Two days later on Super Bowl Sunday, after the Brandeis men face the University of Chicago at noon, the game between the No. 19 Judges and No. 20 Maroons will be part of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's (WBCA) annual Pink Zone promotion. Brandeis and UC ask all fans attending to wear something pink to show their support in the battle against breast cancer and help raise awareness of this terrible disease.
