After leading the UAA in slugging and finishing among the top run-scorers in Division III, Mike Khoury earned All-Region honors for three different organizations.
WIldness by the visitors allowed the Judges to score three times in the final two innings without a hit. Albert Guttierez had five strong innings in the starting effort and rookie Marc Maestri got the win by striking out four of the five batters he faced.
The Brandeis University baseball team maintains their winning ways with a non-conference win over the visiting Curry College Colonels, 4-3. The win is the Judges third consecutive win, putting their record at 12-13 on the year. For the Colonels, the loss moves them down to 9-18-1
The Judges dropped the opener, 11-4, but bounced back in the second game, 11-7, as sophomore Luke Hall became the third different Brandeis player to drive in six or more runs in a game this season.
After driving in 13 runs and scoring 13 with four home runs and 1.000 slugging percentage, Mike Khoury was named UAA Hitter of the Week for the first time in his career.
For only the third time in program history, the Judges have scored 10 or more runs six times in a span of seven games. Junior Victor Oppenheimer led the run-scoring parade by crossing the plate six times in two contests.
