Beaulac leads golfers to fifth place at Nichols' Bison Invitational

DUDLEY, Mass. -- Sophomore Scott Beaulac (Longmeadow, Mass./Longmeadow) shot a season-best round of 77, helping the Judges to tie for fifth place at the 2009 Bison Invitational held by Nichols College. With a team score of 327, Brandeis finished in a tie for fifth place, just two strokes shy of a top-three finish.

Playing in windy conditions, Beaulac finished three strokes out of second place, well behind the tournament winner from Worcester State, who shot 69. After Beaulac, junior Daniel Goldsmith (Herlizya Pituach, Israel/WBAIS) was the squad's second finisher, coming in in a tie for 20th place with a round of 82 (+10). Sophomore Aaron Cusato (San Diego, Calif./Point Loma) was the squad's third scorer, one shot behind Goldsmith with an 83 (+11), putting him alone in 26th place. Sophomore Kyle Mangan (Westborough, Mass./Westborough) rounded out the scorers in a tie for 31st with a score of 85 (+13).
