WALTHAM, Mass. -- Three Brandeis University players scored in double figures tonight as the Judges used a balanced attack to roar past the visiting Case Western University Spartans, 85-68, in University Athletic Association (UAA) play.

Brandeis (12-3, 2-2 UAA) never trailed, jumping out to a 21-11 lead after eight minutes. They were ahead by as many as 16 in the first half on the strength of 57 percent shooting (17-30) before Case got to within nine, 44-35, at the break. A 10-3 run over the first 4:11 of the second half pushed the Brandeis lead to 16, and the Judges never let it get below double figures again.

Junior Terrell Hollins (Springfield, Mass.) scored 12 of his team-high 15 points in the second half, including eight in a row for the Judges at one point. Hollins also led Brandeis with six rebounds, four on the offensive glass. Junior guard Florian Rexhepi (Skopje, Macedonia) had 14 points, while classmate Steve DeLuca (Merrimack, N.H.) had 12. Both players scored nine points in the first half. Junior guard Kwame Graves-Fulgham (Amherst, Mass.) led the Judges with six assists and three steals.

Case (4-11, 0-4 UAA) could not take advantage of a hot shooting night from sophomore guard Steve Young (St. Louis, Mo.), who scored 24 points on seven-of-seven from the floor, five-of-five from 3-point range and five-of-six from the line. Young also led the Spartans with six rebounds. Eighteen of his 24 points came in the first half. Junior center Rob Skuski (Russell, Ohio) and rookie guard Antwain Coward (Washington, D.C.) both tallied 10 points for the Spartans.
