Litle earns second UAA Fencer of the Week award, Dec. 7

WALTHAM, Mass. – Sophomore foil fencer Elishua Litle of Haifa, Israel, has been selected as the University Athletic Association (UAA) Men's Fencer of the Week for Dec. 7.

      Litle earned the honor for the second time this season. He was previously selected . At Brandeis's first home meet of the season, the Brandeis Invitational, Litle posted a team-best 10-3 record with a winning mark in four of the Judges' five bouts. He was 3-0 in a 21-6 win over Drew University and in a 16-11 loss to Yale. In a 23-4 defeat at the hands of national power St. John's, Litle provided half of the team's four points with a 2-1 record. He also went 1-0 in a 16-11 over Cornell's club team and 1-2 in a 14-13 win over Johns Hopkins.

      For the season, Litle is tied for the team lead with 31 wins. He previously earned UAA Fencer of the Week honors after earning a silver medal at the 2015 New England Fall Collegiate Championships as the ninth seed.
