WALTHAM, Mass. -  In a non conference men's soccer contest between Wentworth and Brandeis at Gordon Field, the Judges controlled the flow of the game and came away with a 4-0 victory. Brandeis improved to 5-2 while the Leopards fell to 3-3-2.

Senior midfielder Theo Terris (Concord, Mass./ Concord-Carlisle) and junior midfielder Sam Ocel (No. Attleboro, Mass./ No. Attleboro) led the charge for the Judges. Terris finished with a goal and an assist while Ocel had two assists. A strong Brandeis front line dominated the flow of the game and led the Judges to their rout of the Leopards.

The Judges bombarded Wentworth's junior goalie John Longo (Needham, Mass./ Needham) with 13 first half shots. They did not manage to break the tie until the Leopards goalie picked up a back pass from one of his own defenders setting up an indirect kick for Brandeis just inside the box. Ocel  rolled the ball to his right and Terris  punched a powerful shot past a leaping Longo to give Brandeis the lead in the 27th minute.

The Judges never looked back from that first half goal. They followed up a strong first half with another 11 shots. In the 56th minute, Terris played a great ball to the right foot of junior forward Lee Russo (Westford, Mass./ Westford Acad.) who finished with a hard struck shot to the lower right corner of the net. Brandeis would go on to pad their lead in the 59th minute when Ocel fed a low cross in to sophomore midfielder Kyle Feather (Pinebrook, N.J./ Montville Township) who finished with a one timer.

Finally, in the 83rd minute, freshman defender Tyler Savonen (Orleans, Mass./ Nauset Regional) fed a perfect ball in to senior forward Alexander Farr (Nahant, Mass./ St. John's Prep) behind two Wentworth defenders. Farr finished with a hard right footed shot to the left hand corner of the goal.

The Leopards starting goalie Longo finished the game with five saves and three goals allowed in 59 minutes while the back up goalie for Wentworth, sophomore Cody Gibb (Foster, R.I./ Ponaganset), finished the contest with one save and one goal allowed in 31 minutes. Brandeis's junior keeper Blake Minchoff (Fiskdale, Mass./ Tantasqua Reg.) posted his fifth shutout of the season with seven saves.

The Judges next take on Colby-Sawyer University away in a make up game on September 28th at 4:00 pm before opening their UAA Conference schedule on October 1st with a 1:00 pm match at Gordon Field against the University of Rochester. The Wentworth Leopards face off next with Gordon College at home on October 1st.
