WALTHAM, Mass. – Brandeis University senior goalkeeper Ben Woodhouse of Suffield, Conn., has been named the University Athletic Association (UAA) and Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) North Defensive Player of the Week, while sophomore back Dylan Hennessy of New York, N.Y., earned ECAC Offensive Player of the Week honors.

Woodhouse earned UAA weekly honors for the first time this season and the third time in his career with an 11-save performance against Carnegie Mellon University on Saturday afternoon. After Brandeis scored a pair of first-half goals, Woodhouse made 10 of his 11 saves in the second half as the Judges – ranked 15^th nationally in Division III by the United Soccer Coaches and 18^th by D3soccer.com – defeated the Tartans – ranked 11^th and 12^th in the nation, respectively. The shutout was Woodhouse's second of the season and the 18^th of his career.

Hennessy was honored by the ECAC for the first time in his career. In a 3-1 win over MIT on Tuesday, his free kick led to an own goal to open the scoring in the 39th minute, while his goal in the 43rd minute proved to be the game-winner. In the ninth minute of the Judges' 2-0 win over Carnegie Mellon, Hennessy's corner kick provided the assist on the game-winning goal as Brandeis picked up the 2-0 win over the Tartans.

With their two wins last week, the Judges improved to 9-2 on the season. They are currently ranked 15^th  in Division III in both United Soccer Coaches and D3soccer.com polls. Brandeis embarks on a UAA road trip this weekend, heading to the University of Rochester on Friday evening for a 5 p.m. match before taking on Emory, ranked 23^rd by D3soccer.com, Sunday morning at 11 a.m.

Woodhouse is a 2013 graduate of Suffield High School.

Hennessy is a 2015 graduate of Northfield Mount Hermon School.
