Fabian to take part in Open Water Select Camp

WALTHAM, Mass. – Brandeis University sophomore Max Fabian of Keene, N.H., is taking part in US Swimming's 2012 Open Water Select Camp from June 5-9.

Fabian, a sophomore transfer from Connecticut College, is attending the camp in Fort Myers, Fla., as one of the best distance swimmers in the nation. According to US Swimming, the camp offers "a unique motivational and educational experience. The National Open Water Camp is viewed as an integral step for athletes to move from the pool to Open Water, then to the international scene."

Fabian will be part of head coach Mike Kotch's first varsity team as the program returns from having been suspended for the past two years while the Linsey Pool facility underwent extensive renovations. The pool reopened in January 2012 and the team will resume competition under Kotch next fall.
