Ten outstanding Brandeis student-athletes were honored on May 4th, and two more delivered terrific senior speeches. Learn more about their accomplishments!
Brandeis sophomore Andrew Baker hasn’t scored a ton of points for the Brandeis swimming and diving team, but he’s one of the Judges' most valued members as he battles his opponents and muscular dystrophy.
The Judges honored their four seniors - David Lazarovich, Fay Laborio, Theresa Gaffney and Fallon Bushee before the meet. At the end of the day, the men defeated the Cougars, while the women lost a close one.
Six different athletes won events - including a 0.10 margin of victory for sophomore Sam Zucker in 3-meter diving - as the Judges defeated the Bears, 130-82.
The Judges won the final event, the 200 free relay to earn a 144-144 tie with the Bantams. Cameron Braz had two wins, a second place finish and anchored the 200 free relay for Brandeis.
Cam Braz, Zach Diamond and Taku Harada each posted individual wins in the Judges' first meet back in the states after their inter-session trip to Puerto Rico.
