YOUTH SWIMMING LESSONS (FALL/SPRING SESSIONS)

This program brings children ages 3 and older together with experienced instructors (members of the University Swimming and Diving team) for private (one-on-one) instruction. The goal of the program is to provide quality instruction geared to the individual needs of the child in a safe, supportive, and enthusiastic environment. We also hope that a positive relationship develops between your child and the instructor.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

1. Anyone interested in enrolling his or her child(ren) in the program must fill out an application. All applications are filed according to the date the application is received. Previous swim students, Brandeis employees, and Brandeis alumni will have priority over all other applicants regardless of the application date.

2. The instructor will evaluate your child during their first lesson by their assigned instructor and appropriate material will be covered over the course of the remaining lessons.

3. Swimming lessons are 30 minutes in length, taking place between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Lesson dates are based upon the Brandeis Academic Calendar, the Swimming and Diving Team’s meet and practice schedule, and other team or academic responsibilities.

CANCELLATION & MAKEUP POLICY

Should the need arise for clients to cancel or reschedule a lesson, we ask that clients provide 24-hour notice. In the event that a client does not provide at least 12-hour notice for a cancellation, clients will be charged for their scheduled lesson. There will be one listed makeup date at the end of the season’s session;  If your child has missed more than one lesson you may, however, coordinate with your instructor about extending your child’s lesson within the session’s scheduled 4:00-6:00 PM time slot. We do not provide credits for future sessions, and no refunds will be given after the child’s first lesson.
