Doubles shines for men's tennis at Brown

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Brandeis men's tennis team had success in doubles competition at the Northeast Intercollegiate Invitational at Brown University on Sept. 19-21.

Playing against mainly Division I competition, sophomore Simon Miller (Plantation, Fla.) and senior Scott Schulman (Wethersfield, Conn.) finished in fifth place in the #1 doubles flight. Their 3-1 weekend included wins over Bucknell, Dartmouth and Brown, with the only loss coming to the eventual champions from Harvard. Sophomore Steven Nieman (Forest Hills, N.Y.) and rookie Michael Tatarsky (Wayne, N.J.) also finished in fifth place in the #2 doubles flight, taking out foes from Villanova, UConn and Bucknell in the process.
