MIDDLEBURY, Vt. -- The Brandeis men's tennis team picked up a win in its spring New England debut with a 9-0 victory over UAA rivals NYU. The Judges swept doubles action, paced by an 8-0 victory at No. 2 by junior Steven Nieman (Forest Hills, N.Y./Benjamin Cardozo) and sophomore Mike Tatarsky (Wayne, N.J./Wayne).

In singles action, the Judges won three sets at love and three others by a 6-1 margin. Rookie Fred Rozenshteyn (Fair Lawn, N.J./Fair Lawn) had the easiest time withn a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 4, while classmate Steven Milo (Woodbury, N.Y./Syosset) cruised at No. 6, 6-1, 6-1. Junior Nick White (Wellesley, Mass.) added a 6-2, 6-0 triumph at No. 2 singles.

With the win, the Judges improve to 5-2 on the season, while NYU falls to 0-4.

In their second match of the weekend at Middlebury, the Judges fell to host Middlebury, 8-1. Milo picked up the team's only win of the match, taking a tight match in three sets, 2-6, 7-6 (7-3), 7-5.
