WALTHAM, Mass. – The Brandeis University men's tennis team has earned a top-10 ranking for the second season in a row, as the Judges come in ninth in the first Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division III national poll. This is the fourth straight season in which the Judges have attained a top-10 ranking.

The Judges, who were seventh in the final poll of 2021, own a 5-2 record so far this season. After winning their first three matches against out-of-division opponents, the Judges have split their first four Division III contests. They defeated #15 Gustavus Adolphus (6-3) and Skidmore (5-4), while dropping matches to #4 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (1-5) and #8 Trinity (Texas) (4-5). The Judges met Trinity, GAC and CMS at the ITA Indoor National Championships in February.

Brandeis is led by seniors Adam Tzeng (Eagle, Idaho/Eagle) and Jeffrey Chen (Northfield, Ill./New Trier), who are ranked #15 nationally as a doubles team after earning All-America honors after reaching the finals of the NCAA Division III Championships last spring. Tzeng also plays #1 singles for the Judges, while Chen is #2. First-year player Colin Fox (Winnetka, Ill./New Trier) is ranked #46 in Division III in singles and plays #3 for the Judges. Fox won the 'B' Flight of the Middlebury Invitational and reached the third round of the ITA New England Regional in the fall. He owns a 3-2 record at #3 this spring.

The Judges are back in action this weekend against #26 Colby College on Sunday at 10 a.m.
