BOSTON, Mass. -- The Brandeis University track and field teams competed this weekend at the Boston University Terrier Classic, a non-scoring meet that featured competition from Division I, II and III institutions, as well as several non-collegiate teams.

The Judges' top performance in an NCAA event was turned in by senior Kate Warwick(Boxborough, Mass./Acton-Boxborough). Running in the 5,000-meter run, Warwick turned in a time of 17:20.96, which was 21st overall, second among Division III runners. Her converted time because of the track size is the fifth-fastest in Division III this season, tops in the UAA and third among New England runners.

The highest finishes on the squad went to rookie Kristi Pisarik (Chelmsford, Mass./Chelmsford) and senior Lily Parenteau (Scarborough, Maine/Scarborough). In the 1,000-meter run, Pisarik finished 11th in a field of 49 competitors with a time of 3:02.61, third among DIII runners. In the high jump, Parenteau was 11th overall at 1.60 meters (5 feet, 3 inches), tied with one other DIII jumper for height, but a few spots behind based on number of attempts. Parenteau is currently tied for 16th in the nation in the event, but was unable to improve her standing.

On the men's side, senior Chris Brown (No. Chelmsford, Mass./Chelmsford) kept up his fine season in the mile run, topping Division III runners and finishing ninth overall with a time of 4:10.34. Sophomore Taylor Dundas (Bath, Maine/Cheverus) improved his standing in the national rankings in the mile, as he placed 27th overall, fifth in Division III, with a time of 4:14.97. Dundas is now ranked 12th among all Division III runners in the mile this season.

Junior Alex Kramer (No. Attleboro, Mass./No. Attleboro) had the only other top-20 finish for Brandeis on the afternoon, coming in 15th in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 8:40.96, fifth among DIII runners.
