2010 — Gajewski played in 15 games on the season as a sophomore for the Judges, playing in the outfield and serving as a pinch-hitter and pinch-runner. She had 20 at-bats and had a 1:1.5 walk to strikeout ratio through the season. She hit the first homerun of her collegiate career, a roped line drive solo shot, on May 7th against Emerson College in the next to last doubleheader of the regular season. 2009 — Gajewski played in 25 games on the season, starting in 21 of them in the outfield where she was flawless defensively for a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage before suffering a shoulder injury that kept her out of the defensive lineup. At the plate, Gajewski hit at .303 from the two-spot and led the team in sacrifice bunts. She was named to the All- UAA Second Team. High School — Gajewski was a four-year varsity starter at Long Reach High School in Columbia, Maryland. In her time there, Gajewski won Second Team All-County honors in 2005 and First Team All-County honors in 2006 and honorable mention All-Metro while capturing the team’s batting average crown and the school’s RBI record along the way. Gajewski served as team captain her junior and senior years. Personal — Born Samantha Brooke Gajewski to Thomas Gajewski and Luci Ward on July 3, 1990. One younger sister, Jordyn, a freshman at Coastal Carolina University. Majoring in Economics with Minors in Spanish and Business. To support and amplify her minor in Spanish, Gajewski spent the fall semester of her junior year studying abroad in Spain.
