High School — McWilliams comes to Brandeis as the starting shortstop for Billerica Memorial High School as well as a starting infield for the Mass Inferno travel team which is coached by the Cheryl Milligan, the head coach at Tufts University. While at Billerica, McWilliams started at shortstop and second base all four years of her high school career. She was acknowledged as an MVC All-Star her junior year, followed by earning MVC All-Conference honors in her final season. She was awarded the “Star of the Week” accolade by her local newspaper a total of three times throughout her junior year and received the Coach’s Award given by her varsity coach at that season’s end. She served as a team captain for both the 2009 and 2010 squads. Mc Williams played volleyball her sophomore and junior years of high school. She also volunteered for a local organization that helped mentally and/or physically challenged children learn how to play baseball the last three years of high school. Personal — Born Leah Marie McWilliams to Danny and Donna McWilliams on October 23, 1991. One older brother, Danny, and an older sister, Christina, a 2007 graduate of Brandeis and four-year member of the varsity softball team. Majoring in Biology and Mathematics.
