Porcaro adds All-ECAC honors

WALTHAM, Mass. – Brandeis University senior centerfielder Lauren Porcaro of Shrewsbury, Mass., has been named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) All-New England Division III Second Team. This is her third all-star selection of the year, adding All-University Athletic Association (UAA) and All-NFCA New England honors as well.

      Porcaro finished tied for second in the UAA with eight home runs this season. She finished second on the team with 16 stolen bases, 19 extra-base hits, third with 36 RBI and a .606 slugging percentage and fourth with a career-high .352 batting average. She posted a team-high 11 multi-RBI games during the season and was fourth with 14 multi-hit games. Porcaro finished her career sixth on Brandeis's career home run list with 16. This was her first All-New England selection.

Overall this season under head coach Jessica Johnson, the Judges went 27-18 and earned the top seed in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England tournament. The Judges finished as tournament runners-up for the second year in a row and the third time in four years.

Porcaro is a 2008 graduate of Shrewsbury High School. She is the daughter of Mike and Tracy Porcaro, Shrewsbury, Mass.
