CHICAGO, Ill. -- Five Brandeis University women's basketball players scored in double figures tonight to offset four in double figures by the host University of Chicago as the Judges defeated the Maroons in overtime, 92-85, in a University Athletic Association contest.

Brandeis (12-1, 3-1 UAA, No. 7 nationally) led by as many as 14 points at 48-34 early in the second half, but Chicago (13-2, 2-2 UAA, No. 20) went on a 17-3 run early in the second to tie the contest at 51-51 with 14:45 left in regulation. The rest of the contest featured eight ties and 16 lead changes. Trailing by one with 1:45 left in the contest, junior guard Alison Chase (Farmington, Conn.) who rallied the Judges to victory in the Windy City in 2005 hit a huge 3-pointer to give Brandeis a 79-77 lead, but UC hit a pair free throws with 42 seconds left to tie the contest. Neither team could break the deadlock before the extra session. The Judges scored the first five points of overtime on a pair of free throws by sophomore Jaime Capra (Old Bridge, N.J.) and a traditional three-point play by junior forward Caitlin Malcolm (Windsor Locks, Conn.) and never trailed again.

Malcolm tied for game-high honors with 21 points, hitting nine-of-15 from the floor and three-of-five fomr the line. she also pulled down eight rebounds. Sophomore guard Courtney Tremblay (Peabody, Mass.) added 16 points off the bench, outscoring all of UC's reserves. Capra finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds for her third career double-double, while senior guard Amanda DeMartino (Toms River, N.J.) scored a season-high 14 points, 12 of which came in the first half. Chase rounded out the double-figure scorers wtih 12 points.

Chicago was paced by sophomore Nofi Mojidi, who tied for game-high honors with 21 points. Junior Jennifer Kaiser added 19 points, hitting five-of-six 3-pointers, while Korry Schwanz added 16 points. Senior Susie Gutowski (Northampton, Mass.) was the final Maroon in double figures with 10 points.
