Brandeis (1-0) got the only goal they would need in the 14th minute when rookie midfielder Alanna Torre (Weston, Fla.) headed home a corner kick off the foot of sophomore back Taryn Martiniello (Wilmington, Mass.). Sophomore midfielder Sofia Vallone (Westport, Conn.) doubled the lead just under 15 minutes later when she put Miranda's cross into the right side of the MIT net.

Gorenkoff's assist was the only point by a Brandeis upperclassman on the day.
