WALTHAM, Mass. – The 16th ranked Brandeis Women's Soccer team played UAA competitor #14 Carnegie Mellon to a 1-1 draw during Homecoming, extending their unbeaten streak to 11 games. The Judges now sit at 1-0-1 in the UAA and 9-1-2 overall.

The UAA contest was neck and neck until junior Becca Buchman (Rockville Centre, N.Y./South Side) put the Judges ahead 1-0 with a 45th minute goal in the box off of a Katie Hayes (Eau Claire, Wisc./Regis HS) assist. Brandeis held the Tartans off until Carnegie Mellon equalized in the 90th minute. The CMU would be the final of the contest as both teams failed to find the golden goal in the two overtime periods.

Sophomore goalkeeper Sierra Dana (Lombard, Ill./Glenbard East) was stellar, saving a career high 14 of 15 shots on goal. Dana has now allowed one goal or fewer in the past seven contests, boasting a 0.82 goals per game average.

The Judges look ahead to a UAA road series at Rochester on Friday, Oct. 13 and Emory on Sunday Oct. 15.
