The Judges bested last year's record of 78 honorees from men's and women's basketball, men's and women's fencing, men's and women's swimming and diving and men's and women's track and field.
As of February 7, Brandeis home athletics events will be open to all spectators. Waltham mask mandates will still be expected to be followed, requiring all spectators to be masked at all times.
Thanks to many generous contributions from supporters, the Brandeis Athletic department had an unprecedented Giving DEISDay on November 30, with donations exceeding $150,000 from more than 800 donors, with numbers still coming in through the end of 2021.
Chloe Gonzalez set the new standard in the 100 free, then saw Ema Rennie lower it again in the next race. Both helped set a ew mark in the 400 free relay.
Junior Bailey Gold lowered her own school records in the 50 and 200 freestyle races, while helping the 200 free and 400 medley relays set new marks as well.
The women broke two relay records, while Ema Rennie lowered her school mark in the 50 free and Bailey Gold lowered hers in 100 fly. Gold was also part of the two relay records.
On November 21st, more than 120 student-athletes and staff members gathering on the indoor track and tennis courts to help sort clothes for the Newtonville, Massachusetts, based non-profit organization Cradles to Crayons.
The Brandeis men and women both defeated the other four teams at the meet handily, winning 15 of 21 races. Bailey Gold was one of three triple winners for the women.
