Women's tennis blanks Connecticut College, 9-0

WALTHAM, Mass. - The Brandeis University women's tennis team dropped just one set today as the Judges defeated Connecticut College, 9-0, in a non-conference match.

The Judges were led by sophomore Mackenzie Gallegos (Friendswood, Texas/Friendswood), who dropped just three games on the day. She teamed with classmate Rachel Rosman (Bonita Springs, Fla./Estero) for an 8-1 win at No. 1 singles and then earned a 6-1, 6-1, victory at No. 4 singles. Rosman was victorious at No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-4. The most competitive match of the day came at No. 6 singles, where Brandeis rookie Nina Levine (Westport, Conn./Staples) defeated Camel rookie Naomi Hoffman (New York, N.Y./Marymount), 6-1, 4-6, 6-3.

Brandeis, which improves to 9-5 on the season, is next in action tomorrow at Babson at 3 p.m. Connecticut College falls to 2-12 and wraps up their regular season against NESCAC foe Hamilton College on April 25 at home.
