Rosman, Broderick lead No. 28 women's tennis to 7-2 win over Conn. College

NEW LONDON, Conn. (courtesy Connecticut College sports information) -- The Brandeis University women’s tennis team won all three doubles matchups and cruised to victory in the top in a 7-2 victory at Connecticut College Sunday. With the win, the 28th ranked Judges improve to 9-7 while the Camels fall to 6-5 in the setback.

 
Brandeis junior Rachel Rosman (Bonita Springs, Fla./Estero) and rookie Faith Broderick (Washingtonville, N.Y./Washingtonville) teamed up on an 8-5 win at #1 doubles for the visitors.  Both Rosman and Broderick earned convincing 6-0, 6-0 victories in their respective slots at #1 and #2 singles for the Judges. Junior Mackenzie Gallegos (Friendswood, Texas/Friendswood) and sophomore Nina Levine (Westport, Conn./Staples) each won third-set super-tiebreakers at No. 4 and 5 singles.
 
Connecticut College rookie Jen Herbert (Pawcatuck, Conn.) rallied for a win at #6 singles, legging out an emotional 19-17 victory in the super tie-breaker. Senior Jessica Bender (Westfield, N.J.) triumphed at third singles for the Camels.
