Carley Cooke '15 bows in NCAA debut

CARY, N.C. -- Brandeis rookie Carley Cooke of San Diego, Calif., suffered a 6-2, 6-1, defeat in her first-ever NCAA tournament match, falling to Sonja Meighan of Washington and Lee today at the NCAA Division III Tournament hosted by Meredith College in North Carolina.

Cooke, who was the first Brandeis player to reach the NCAAs since 2005, finishes her season with a 16-6 record in both singles and doubles play. She was a second-team All-University Athletic Association selection at first singles and was named the UAA Rookie of the Year.
