WALTHAM, Mass. – Senior Faith Broderick of Washingtonville, N.Y., and sophomore Carley Cooke of San Diego, Calif., of the 24th-ranked Brandeis University women's tennis team, have been selected to represent the Judges at the 2013 NCAA Division III Doubles Championships, which will be held May 23-25 in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

The Judges' top doubles team finished with a 12-5 record in dual matches this year. They were second-team All-University Athletic Association selections, behind the duo from UAA team champions Emory, who will also be at the national championships.

Broderick and Cooke are 1-1 against other teams selected to the NCAA championships, having lost to a duo from the 2012 NCAA Team champions from Williams College and defeated a pair from Middlebury College. The draw for the tournament will be announced following the NCAA team tournament on May 22.

In two seasons together, Broderick and Cooke are 26-10 as a tandem. They were alternates for the 2012 NCAA championships. Broderick and Cooke are just the second Brandeis doubles team ever chosen to the NCAAs, joining Abby Lerner '05 and Colleen Donnelly, who were selected in 2005.

Cooke, the 2012 University Athletic Association Rookie of the Year and second-team All-Association selection at first singles, is making her second appearance at nationals. She earned a bid to the NCAA Division III Singles tournament in 2012, claiming the first All-America honor in program history.

For Broderick, this will be her first trip to nationals as a senior.  Broderick posted 105 wins in her career at Brandeis in singles and doubles combined.

Cooke is a 2011 graduate of Point Loma High School. She is the daughter of Michael and Elysia Cooke, San Diego, Calif.

Broderick is a 2009 graduate of Washingtonville High School. She is the daughter of Richard and Joanne Broderick, Washingtonville, N.Y.
