#27 Women's tennis rolls past Endicott, 9-0

WALTHAM, Mass. -- In their first home match of the season to be played outdoors, the Brandeis women's tennis team dispatched Endicott, 9-0. The 27th-ranked Judges won for the eighth time in nine matches to improve to 9-8, while Endicott dropped to 13-3.

Junior Maya Vasser (New Rochelle, N.Y./New Rochelle) had the quickest day of any Brandeis player, losing just one game in two matches. She and senior Dylan Schlesinger (Miami, Fla./Palmetto) won 8-1 at No. 2 doubles, and Vasser won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 singles. 

Other double winners were a pair of rookies. Haley Cohen (Cherry Hill, N.J./Laurel Springs),  won 8-5 at No. 1 doubles with senior Carley Cooke (San Diego, Calif./Point Loma) and 6-1, 6-1, at No. 1 singles. Charlotte Aaron (Phoenix, Ariz./Arcadia) was an 8-1 winner at No. 3 doubles with junior Sarita Biswas (Bedford, Mass./Bedford) and a 6-2, 6-2 winner at No. 5 singles. 

Also contributing wins were senior Simone Vandroff (Moss Beach, Calif./Half Moon Bay), who won the first set at No. 2, 6-2, before her opponent retired due to injury in the second set; junior Emily Eska (Princeton, Mass./Wachusett Regional) at No. 3, 6-4, 6-2; and rookie Danielle Simms (Chattanooga, Tenn. / Girls Preparatory School) at No. 6, 6-3, 6-3.

The Judges close out the regular season on Saturday at 10 a.m. against NYU for senior day.
