CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- The 19th-ranked Brandeis women's tennis team suffered their second-straight loss today, dropping a 7-2 decision at No. 21 MIT. The Judges fall to 4-2 with the loss, while the Engineers improve to 2-0.

The hosts then won in straight sets at 2 and 1 singles to clinch the match. Brandeis's wins came at No. 3, where junior Olivia Leavitt (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth) was a 1-6, 7-6 (8-6), 10-3 winner, and at No. 4, where rookie Lauren Bertsch (Middletown, R.I. / LaSalle Academy) took a 7-5, 3-6, 10-3, decision.

The Judges are back in action tomorrow on the road against another ranked opponent, No. 25 Wellesley.
