Hail plays havoc with Brandeis softball, women's tennis in California

LA VERNE and REDLANDS, California -- Because of hailstorms on the West Coast, Brandeis softball and women's tennis matches were interrupted today.

The Brandeis softball doubleheader against the University of La Verne was halted at the end of the fourth inning of Game One with the score tied, 1-1. The doubleheader will not be made up.

In addition, the Judges' softball DH against Whittier College, originally scheduled for Friday has been moved up to tomorrow 11:30 AM Pacific time / 2:30 Eastern.

Meanwhile, the #40 women's tennis team was leading #15 University of Redlands, 4-3, when play was suspended due to hail. Each team was leading in one of the two remaining matches on the court at #3 and #5 singles. 

UPDATE: The women's tennis match against Redlands was not completed, but individual results still stand for the purposes of post-season selection.
