HANOVER, N.H. -- Brandeis senior Grayce Selig (Narberth, Pa./Springside School) qualified for her fourth career NCAA championship at the 2011 Dartmouth Relays.

Selig won the mile run at the event with a time of 4:58.08. With the fastest time in Division III this season to date according to Direct Athletics, Selig bested four runners from host Dartmouth College, as well as a host of other Division I runners from Boston College and Northeastern University. Selig exceeded the provisional standard for the NCAA championships by just under six seconds and would need to shave another three seconds off her time to qualify automatically.

The Judges' only other competitor at the meet was senior Marie Lemay (Saco, Maine/Thornton Acad.), who came in ninth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:22.75.

Selig's 10 points earned a tie for 12th place for the Judges.

On the men's side, the Judges scored one point as junior Chris Brown (No. Chelmsford, Mass./Chelmsford) was the top Division III finisher in the mile run, placing sixth with a time of 4:25.79. Brown edged teammate Devon Holgate (Cumberland, R.I./Cumberland) by just 0.13 seconds. Senior Ben Bray (Duxbury, Mass./Duxbury) placed 15th in the 800-meter run in 2:02.98.
