Competing against a large field of Division I, II, III and unattached runners, the Brandeis women's track and field team put up several personal bests at the Boston University Terrier Invitational over the weekend. The women's team had five runners compete on Friday, while the men's events were held on Saturday.

Sophomore Kelsey Whitaker (Kingston, Mass./Notre Dame Acad.) had the top result on the women's side. Whitaker had the best time of any Division III competitor in the 1000-meter race, finishing 11th overall with a time of 2:59.56. Rookie Ashley Piccirillo-Horan (North Granby, Conn./Granby Memorial) had the third-best D3 time (23rd overall), finishing in 3:06.15.

For the second week in a row, senior Vicki Sanford (Andover, N.Y./Andover) set a new personal record in the mile. Her time of 5:05.33 slashed nearly a full second off of her time at last weekend's Greater Boston Track Club Invitational, and is the 13th best time in Division III this season. She finished in 34th place overall but fourth in Division III.

Sophomore Molly Paris (Falmouth, Mass./Falmouth) shaved more than four seconds off of her best time in the mile this season, finishing in 5:46.27.

Rookie Maddie Dolins (Highland Park, Ill./Highland Park) had the fourth-fastest D3 time in the 3,000, placing 40th overall with a time of 10:09.22. She shaved more than 17 seconds off of her previous best in the 3k and now owns the 15th-fastest time in the country.

The Judges are back in action over the weekend, competing at the Tufts Stampede.
