Distance Women
Erin Magill (South Duxbury, Vt./Harwood Union HS)
High School PRs: 1500m - 4:52; 3000m - 10:46; 5k XC - 19:04

Erin joins the Judges women's distance unit fresh off having finished 3rd at the Vermont D2 state meet in the 3000m. A two-time state champion in cross country, Erin qualified for the New England Championship for four straight years. In addition to distance events, Erin has placed top 3 in the 1500m at the D2 state meet each of the last three years.

Jac Guerra (Guilford, Conn./Guilford HS)
High School PRs: 800m - 2:21; 1000m - 3:05; 1600m - 5:02; 3200m - 11:14

Jac enters the Brandeis track & field program with a focus on the mile, with plenty of experience with mid-distance and longer races as well. Jac's 1600m time is among the fastest of any recruit in the last two decades at Brandeis, good enough to win the Connecticut Class L state meet 1000m indoors and 1600m outdoors in 2018. The Guilford native also qualified for the New England Championship in cross country in 2017.

Taylor Kane (Windham, N.H./Windham HS)
High School PRs: 800m - 2:35; 1000m - 3:21

Taylor will come to Waltham next fall ready to rep the Brandeis stripes in cross country and on the track. Taylor's primary event is the 800m, scoring at the NH D2 state 4x8 as a junior.

Elizabeth Dunphy (Cary, N.C./Cary HS)
High School PRs: 800m - 2:34; 1000m - 3:18

Like several incoming classmates, Elizabeth found success in high school in the 800m, while also specializing in the 1000m. Additionally, Elizabeth has run four years of cross country in high school as a member of the varsity squad each year.


Hannah Walsh (Fairfield, Maine/Lawrence HS)
High School PR: 800m - 2:33

Hannah joins the Brandeis mid-distance squad after running for three years in high school and playing on the soccer team in the fall. This year, Hannah will run cross country for the first time when joining the Judges.

Nattalie Hattan (Sugar Land, Texas/Fort Bend Clements HS)
High School PRs: 800m - 2:30; 1600m - 5:28

Natalie will come across the country, journeying from the Lone Star State to join the distance program having only started running as a sophomore in high school. Natalie will bolster the women's mile group coming in having run sub-5:30 previously.

Throws Women

Annie Wong (Milton, Mass./Milton HS)
High School PRs: Javelin - 102'

Annie joins the Brandeis throws squad after finishing 3rd at the BSC League Championships in 2017-18 improving almost 20 feet in one year.

Sprints Women

Sonali Anderson (Fayetteville, Ga./Whitewater HS)
High School PRs: 100mh - 15.29; 300mh - 48.22

Sonali joins Brandeis track & field with a specialization in the hurdles. Sonali finished 7th at the GHSA 5A State Championships with a prelim time of 15.29

Anna Touitou (Pleasantville, N.Y./Pleasantville HS)
High School PRs: 100m - 13.27; 200 - 26.82

Anna is coming into Brandeis as a sprinter by trade, finishing 5th in the 100m and 200m at the NYSPHSAA Section 1 qualifier as a senior.

Devin Hiltunen (North Quincy, Mass./North Quincy HS)
High School PRs: 200m- 25.79; 400 - 59.99

Devin is a Massachusetts All-State qualifier in the 200m after breaking 26 seconds for the first time at the MIAA EMass D1 Championships. Devin will also focus on the 400m, after sneaking under 60 seconds last year at 59.99.

 

Distance Men
Matthew Driben (Reading, Pa./Wyomissing HS)
High School PRs: 1600m - 4:33; 3200m - 9:39

Matthew graduates from Wyomissing one of the most decorated athletes in recent school history. Matthew arrives in Waltham having improved in every event, every year of high school running, including an impressive 3200m as a senior that qualified for the Pennsylvania state championship.


Simon Powley (Lockport, N.Y./Lockport HS)
High School PRs: 1600m - 4:39; 3k SC - 10:12; 3200m - 10:01; 5k XC - 17:18

Heading east on route 90, across New York, Simon teams up with the rest of a Brandeis class that possesses a lot of versatility. Having run a 3k steeplechase time that would nearly qualify for the DIII New England Championship as a senior in high school, Simon has the speed to be one of the faster 800m recruits in recent Brandeis history, with his PR having been lowered by 10 seconds this past year alone.

Jacob Grant (Rockville Centre, N.Y./South Side HS)
High School PRs: 600m - 1:27; 800m - 2:05; 1000m - 2:50

Jacob will scoot up I-95 fresh off a senior year that featured a school record in the 600m at South Side. Jacob will add to the excellent mid-distance class the Judges have arriving this fall and will also contribute to the cross country roster in the fall.

Alex Losada (Meredith, N.H./Inter-Lakes HS)
High School PR: 800m - 2:03

Trekking down from the Granite State, Alex will be another addition to the men's mid-distance core and compete on the cross country team too. Alex will be an asset to the program during track season as well, as the Inter-Lakes 4x400m relay qualified for the New England Championship last year.

Aaron Portman (Wheeling, Ill./A.E. Stevenson HS)
High School PRs: 400m - 52.79; 800m - 1:56

Primarily focusing on the 800m as a senior, Aaron made a big jump, winning the Illinois 3A North Sectional meet and qualifying for the 3A State Championship for the first time. Aaron will come to Brandeis looking to compete with the best at the UAA and New England meets.

Sprints Men
Carson Bianchi (Milton, Vt./Milton HS)
High School PRs: 200m - 23.15; 400m - 50.46

Carson's forte is the 400m, finishing as the Vermont State runner-up in the 400m and winning the 600m Championship indoors. Carson will help a successful 4x400m relay take the next step toward the big show.

Jamie O'Neil (Newtonville, Mass./Newton North HS)
High School PRs: 400m- 52.05; 600m- 1:28.77

Taking a ride across town, Jamie will join a young 400m squad. Jamie will look to continue on the PR train as he clocked bests in the 400m, 600m, and triple jump as a senior.

 Gabe Rosenbloom (Seattle, Wash./Roosevelt HS)
High School PRs: 400m- 54.04

Gabe joins the Judges as a 200m/400m specialist, after a senior year that saw personal bests in the 200m, 300m, and 400m.

Jumps Men
Charlie Jackson (Fitchburg, Mass./Fitchburg HS)
High School PRs: Triple Jump- 43'4"; High Jump- 5'10"

Massachusetts All-State qualifier Charlie Jackson hops, skips and jumps into the squad at Brandeis from down Route 2. Charlie will join indoor/outdoor UAA Champ Churchill Perry '20 in the triple jump, as well as taking up the high jump.
