MEDFORD, Mass. – In the final track and field meet of the 2021 season, the Tufts National Qualifying Meet, two school records fell for the Brandeis women's squad.

In the 100-meter high hurdle, Alya Campbell (Eastchester, N.Y./Eastchester) ended her first year with the Judges in style, twice lowering the previous school record. In the prelims, Campbell ran 15.20 seconds, edging teammate Sonali Anderson's (Fayetteville, Ga./Whitewater) mark, set just two years ago, by one-hundredth of a second. In the finals, Campbell demolished that time by another 0.13 seconds to 15.07. She finished in third place.

In the 100-meter dash, junior Devin Hiltunen (Quincy, Mass./North Quincy) established a new record in the digital era with a time of 12.39 seconds. Hiltunen ran 12.60 seconds in the prelims to reach the finals. Her new mark is a personal best by 0.13 seconds, though Jerrion Benjamin '96's hand time record of 12.1 is still recognized as the school mark. Hiltunen placed fifth in the 100 and was fourth in the 200 after running another p.r., 25.46 seconds. Campbell finished eighth in the 200 in 26.53 seconds.

Three seniors wrapped up their careers at the meet as well. Andrea Bolduc (Auburn, Mass./Auburn) posted a time of 4:48.40 in the 1,500-meter run, good for fourth place, just ahead of junior Natalie Hattan (Sugar Land, Texas/Clements), who was fifth in 4:48.63. Senior Lydia Harris (Damariscotta, Maine/Lincoln Academy) ran 1:08.47 in the 400-meter hurdles, taking sixth. On the men's side, Jack Allan (Wrentham, Mass./King Phillip Regional) won his final long jump competition with a distance of 6.93 meters (22-9), but was not able to improve upon his season-best 7.08 meters. He is ranked 27th in Division III, about 0.08 meters out of a spot at the NCAA championships. Allan also ran the 200-meter dash, placing third in 22.44 seconds.
