Lucy Ford added to track and cross country coaching staff

Welcome Lucy Ford, assistant track and cross country coach

WALTHAM, Mass. – Brandeis University has added Lucy Ford as a new assistant coach for the men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor track and field and cross country teams. Ford will primarily be responsible for coaching the Judges’ sprinters and jumpers.

Ford comes to Brandeis from SUNY Albany, where she had been an intern for the track and field program since August. Prior to that, she had been an assistant coach at SUNY Delhi from 2018 to 2020, where she also coached sprinters, jumpers and multi-event athletes. Ford coached two school-record holders, in the long jump and 60-meter high hurdles. She oversaw NCAA Division III Championship qualifiers in the high jump, long jump and triple jump, as well as 12 individual North Atlantic Conference champions and two conference championship relays. Ford also served as a strength and conditioning coach for the Broncos.

Ford is a 2018 graduate of SUNY Oneonta with B.S. in Communications. She won State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) titles in the high jump and heptathlon during her four-year career for the Red Dragons. She still holds the school records outdoors in the former and indoors in the latter.

She is currently pursuing her M.S. in Sports Management at SUNY Cortland. Ford is a native of Cooperstown, New York.
