Against Wellesley College, the Judges lost in straight sets, 25-22, 25-16, 25-18.

Engeler also had three blocks, tied with senior Carly Gutner-Davis (Del Mar, Calif./Canyon Crest Acad.) for team-high honors. Senior libero Elsie Bernaiche (Plantsville, Conn./Southington) led all players with 20 digs, while rookie setter Julie Kim (Fullerton, Calif./Troy) set a new collegiate-best with 48 assists.

In the Wellesley match, Hood again led Brandeis, this time with seven kills. Gutner-Davis had a fine performance with five kills and no errors in 12 attempts for a .417 hitting percentage. Rookie OH Jessie Moore had six kills. Bernaiche recorded 12 digs, while Kim finished with 25 assists. Wellesley's Sydney Carfagno registered a double-double with 15 kills and 11 digs.
