Women's x-country places eighth at Albany, second among DIII schools

ALBANY, N.Y. -- The Brandeis University women's cross country team, ranked No. 32 in the nation in Division III, placed eighth overall and second among DIII schools today at the 42nd annual University of Albany Invitational. The Judges had an impressive spread of just 27 seconds between their top five finishers.

The Judges were led by sophomore Grayce Selig (Narberth, Pa.), who finished in 30th place overall and eighth among Division III runners with a time of 18:45 over the five-kilometer course. Rookie Kate Warwick (Boxborough, Mass.) was the Judges' second finisher in 39th place with a time of 18:53, good for ninth among DIII competitors. Classmate Erin Bisceglia (Durham, Conn.) was third on the squad and 55th overall in 19:05, just ahead of junior Beth Pisarik (Chelmsford, Mass.), who was 57th. Rounding out the Brandeis scorers was Beth's sister, junior Alysa Pisarik (Chelmsford, Mass.) in 62nd place with a time of 19:12.
