Women's x-country takes 13th at New Englands

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. --  The Brandeis women placed 13th overall at the New England Division III championships at Williams College today.

The Judges were paced by sophomore Marie Lemay (Saco, Maine), who covered the 6K course in 24:08.8 to finish in 41st place, improving by more than 60 places from her regionals debut in 2007.  Rookie Alyssa Pisarik (Chelmsford, Mass.) took 58th place in 24:38.3, just ahead of classmate Kate Warwick (Boxborough, Mass.), who was 59th in 24:39.7. Junior Ally Connolly (Concord, N.H.), the team's top finisher a year ago, was 88th in 25:15.3, while Pisarik's older sister Beth was 110th in 25:37.0. The Judges improved five spots from 2007, when they finished in 18th place.
