WALTHAM, Mass. – Men’s cross country senior Matthew Driben of Reading, Pennsylvania, has been named the October 3 Brandeis Athlete of the Week, presented by The Chateau Restaurant Group.
Driben earned his second win of the season at the 2022 Keene State Invitational on Saturday, October 1. He won the meet by covering the five-mile course in 24:53.28. Driben defeated second-place Jake Pearl of host Keene State by 27 seconds. It was Driben's first time breaking 25 minutes over five miles, besting his previous career-fastest time by 11 seconds.
The win was the third of Driben’s career and was his sixth career top-five finish.
The Judges return to action on October 15th at the Connecticut College Invitational.

The Athlete of the Year Program highlights a top Brandeis student-athlete who has had an outstanding athletic achievement from the week prior.
