Danielle Bertaux
Beverly, Massachusetts
Track and Field
Danielle is a member of both the track and cross country teams, competing at the 2018 NCAA Cross Country Championships. A distance specialist during the track and field championships, she competes mostly at 5,000-meters during the outdoor season, earning All-Region honors as sophomore, when she placed third at the New England Division III Championships. Danielle placed fourth in the 3K at the most recent UAA indoor championships, and she has been named to the Academic All-University Athletic Association team all nine semesters she has been eligible.
"Danielle became an integral part of the team that finished sixth at the NCAA XC Champs in 2019 and her success was a reward for her commitment to being a national caliber athlete at Brandeis,” said head coach Sinead Evans. “Danielle has proven that discipline, hard work and dedication can yield great results"

Major: International Global Studies with minors in Legal Studies and Spanish.
Favorite part about competing for Brandeis: Working hard in a culture that lifts everyone up.
Favorite athletic moment at Brandeis: Placing 6th as a team at NCAA Cross Country nationals.

Studied Abroad in: Buenos Aires, Argentina.
After I graduate, I plan to: Go to law school.

Favorite Book: Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom ’79.
Favorite place to travel: Argentina.
Summer 2019 job: Organizing fellow at Warren for President.
