A role player for the Judges, Caroline Sippin of Coram, New York, has played catcher, first base and in the outfield over the past four seasons. She scored two key runs as a sophomore as the Judges earned their first-ever doubleheader sweep over Emory.

“Caroline has played several positions for us on the field, but her impact on the program is far greater than that,” said interim head coach Emily Kraytenberg. “Caroline's support of her teammates and coaches has helped to set a positive team culture, and her willingness to help her team in any way she can has made the team better.“

GET TO KNOW CAROLINE

Majors: psychology and sociology, with a minor in legal studies

Favorite part of competing for Brandeis: The opportunities it has afforded me to travel to places I've never been to and experience new things.

Favorite athletic moment at Brandeis: Our very first UAA game at home freshman year against Case Western Reserve that was pushed up due to weather. We had to play in the snow until the game was called, but the energy was electric and we pulled out a win in 5 innings.

My favorite class at Brandeis was: Investigating Justice, because I was able to witness how children are affected by our judicial system and how I can better help them in the future.

Thing I’ll miss most about Brandeis: Being in college with my friends, studying things that interest me, and being out on the field with my teammates.

After I graduate, I plan to: Work and gain first-hand experience in the mental health field before returning to school to receive a Psy.D.

Dream Job: a writer.

Favorite TV Show: Full House

Favorite Book: The Fountainhead

Most memorable pro sports memory: Watching the Mets in the world series for the first time in my life.

Favorite quote: "Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated." Confucius
