Rachel Zubrinsky, Women's Tennis

GET TO KNOW RACHEL

Hometown: Charlotte, North Carolina

Major/Minor: Psychology/East Asian Studies

Favorite part of competing for Brandeis: Being able to represent a community of people who are out to make the world a better place. I am so proud to go to Brandeis.

What attracted me to Brandeis: The Brandeis community is amazing and is what made me realize Brandeis is where I want to spend four years working hard to earn a college degree. Going to Brandeis was the best decision of my life and my experiences and time spent there have shaped me into the person I am today.

Favorite summer opportunity: Last summer and fall, I worked as a CNA (nurse aide) in the COVID unit in Charlotte, NC. Being able to help people who are sick with COVID in the hospital has taught me so much and will definitely be a part of my life that I will never forget.

Things I'll miss most about Brandeis: I love Brandeis so much!! I will miss being around my best friends all of the time, showing up to Gosman every day to work hard but also have so much fun with my team and coaches, and I will miss the Brandeis community as a whole.

After I graduate, I plan to: Definitely, work in the field of pediatric medicine. I hope to become either a Physician's Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. 

Dream job: A career in pediatric medicine.

Favorite meal: PB & J with chocolate milk.
