Senior Spotlight: Brian Gao

Brian Gao

Hopkinton, Massachusetts

Track and Field

Brian Gao has been a four-year member of the track and cross country teams. He was the team’s seventh or eighth runner for much of his cross country career, but broke into the scoring this year at the Connecticut College Invitational, where he was the team’s fifth runner. His 8K PR came at Conn. College as a sophomore. His top finish during track and field season came as a first-year, when he placed fourth in the 3,000-meter run at a meet at UMass Boston. Off the track, Brian has been named to the Academic All-UAA team each season he has been eligible.

“Brian was an integral part of our T&F team over the last four years,” said head coach Sinead Evans. “He led by example, showing up every day and working hard.  He is a really supportive teammate who always sees the positive in every situation, learning and growing from every experience both on and off the track.”
