Hometown: Georgetown, Massachusetts
Favorite part of competing for Brandeis: I love competing on two varsity athletic teams, softball and swimming and diving, because I am able to build strong relationships with incredible teammates and coaches as well as play in a competitive conference.
Favorite athletic memory: My favorite athletic moment at Brandeis was qualifying for the NCAA softball tournament in 2019 and getting to extend our season. Too bad it rained, but if weather permitted, I think we could have won the whole tournament.
Favorite professor: My favorite professor at Brandeis is Marcie Abramson. She is so caring, kind, and positive. She allows me to think from new perspectives and challenge myself as a learner and future teacher.
What attracted me to Brandeis: The energetic friendly people, the close faculty/staff and student relationship, the strong BA/MAT education program, and the competitive softball and swimming and diving in the UAA. Similarly, there were lots of opportunities to try new things, clubs, and complete community service.
Favorite summer opportunity: Studying abroad in Australia. I not only lived in a country across the world but completed an amazing internship in which I taught 4th-grade students.
Things I'll miss most about Brandeis: Definitely the people: my teammates, my coaches, the staff, and my professors.
After I graduate, I plan to: Become a full-time teacher and coach a youth softball team.
