WALTHAM, Mass. – The University Athletic Association named its Spring 2022 Academic All-UAA team, and Brandeis student-athletes earned 69 accolades, the most ever for the Judges during the spring season. This marks the fifth-straight season that the Judges have set a record for most Academic All-UAA selections. This year's spring total of 69 surpasses last year's honorees by seven. Overall for the year, Brandeis had 212 student-athletes earn Academic All-Association honors, breaking the Judges' previous record, set in 2020-21 by 28.
Within the UAA, All-Academic recognition is awarded to student-athletes who have completed at least one full year of college study and who carry a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.300. The 3.300 minimum cumulative grade point average is the same academic standard used as a qualifying threshold by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) for the nomination of Academic All-America® candidates in all sports.
