Jay Mendoza joined the Brandeis Athletics staff as the Strength and Conditioning Coach in 2019-20. He earned a B.S. in Kinesiology, Exercise and Sport Science from Temple University and an M.S. in Sports Management from SNHU.
Mendoza comes to Brandeis after a year as the head strength and conditioning coach at Eastern Connecticut State University, working with the Warriors’ 17 teams. He also served the same role at Farmington High School in Connecticut. He also served for one year as the assistant S+C coach at Trinity College in Hartford, working with football, men’s basketball, track and field and swimming and diving. In his native Philadelphia area, Mendoza worked as an intern at Germantown Academy and as a wrestling and strength coach at Roman Catholic High School.
