WALTHAM, Mass. –  For their performances for the week ending on May 1, Brandeis University senior Ana Hatfield of Rockford, Illinois, and junior third baseman Brian King of Palos Verde, California, were honored as University Athletic Association players of the week for women's tennis and baseball.

Hatfield helped the Judges end their 2022 season on a high note with an 8-1 win over Endicott College on May 1. Hatfield earned two of those points, dropping just two games in her matches. Along with sophomore partner Jiayi Zhang of Shanghai, China, she won 8-0 at #2 doubles. Hatfield then went on to deliver a 6-1, 6-1, victory at #4, the clinching match of the day.
