WALTHAM, Mass. – Three Brandeis University student-athletes were named University Athletic Association (UAA) Athletes of the Week for the week that ended November 17th. Junior Chandler Jones of Springfield, Massachusetts, was honored for men's basketball, while seniors Jessica Gets of Morganville, New Jersey, and Ian Quin of Ramsey, New Jersey, were recognized for women's and men's fencing.

Jones led the Brandeis men's basketball team to a 91-56 win over Rivier College in their only game of the week last week. He netted career- and game-highs with 25 points and 17 rebounds. He reached his eighth career double-double by halftime, scoring 13 points and pulling down 11 rebounds in the first stanza alone. He added 12 points and six boards in the second. His rebound total was the most for a Brandeis player since Latye Workman '18/MA '19 had 18 caroms in a game in December of 2017.

The Judges defeated Emerson College, 76-74, on Monday night and will take a 2-1 record into a Wednesday evening contest at Suffolk at 7 p.m.

Gets and Quin, both foil fencers, led the Brandeis fencing teams to a combined 10-2 record at the first Northeastern Fencing Conference meet of the season at Brown University. Gets posted a 14-1 record as the Brandeis women went 6-1. She went 3-0 against club opponents Boston University and UMass and varsity teams MIT and Sacred Heart, while going 2-1 against Wellesley. Quin posted a 6-1 mark as the Judges were 4-1, going 3-0 against MIT and 2-1 against Sacred Heart. He also picked up one victory against BU.
