Sam Rubinstein joined the Brandeis men’s basketball staff as an assistant coach for the 2019-20 season. Sam has his hand in various aspects of the program, including player development, recruiting, alumni engagement, fundraising, budget oversight, equipment management, video operations, and graphic design. 

Along with his coaching responsibilities at Brandeis, Rubinstein also serves as the director for the Judges Leadership Academy, the department's student-athlete development program. 

A 2018 graduate of the University of Massachusetts-Amherst with a B.S. in Sports Management, Rubinstein served as a student-manager for the Minutemen during his undergraduate career. He was responsible for travel logistics, helping with scouting reports, data analytics, and more.

Prior to joining the staff at Brandeis, he worked in various roles for The Hoop Group, a grassroots basketball company based out of New Jersey. After originally starting as an intern, he served as the Assistant to the Vice President, Director of Business Operations, and Director of Recruiting.
